His Majesty changes Emerald Buddha’s attire for cold season

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn graciously changed the seasonal attire of the Emerald Buddha for the cold season in a ceremony on Wednesday evening at Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram (Emerald Buddha Temple) in Bangkok’s Phra Nakhon district.
Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati attended a religious ceremony on behalf of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn yesterday (July 5) at the Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Si Rattana Satsadaram) within the precincts of the Royal Palace in Bangkok’s Phra Nakhon district.
Royal plaques, Seal of State ready for King’s coronation

A HISTORIC royal ceremony took place at the Emerald Buddha Temple yesterday for the inscription of two royal golden plaques and the engraving of the Royal Seal of State.
The Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha Temple will be closed for about a month, starting October 1, to prepare for the Royal funeral of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
The Temple of the Emerald Buddha has reopened for tourists today after it was closed from October 14 following the demise of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
